Noise Exposure and Noise Precautions After Berard Auditory Integration
Training (Berard AIT)
Protect
the auditory system when the person is exposed to very loud noise from power
equipment (chain saws, lawn movers, power tools, etc.) excessively loud music,
fireworks, etc. Use earplugs or other ear protection.
Earplugs
should NOT be used on a consistent basis (such as in a school cafeteria).
Routine use will actually
increase the listener’s sensitivity.
