PROFESSIONAL
EXPERIENCE

Having her son diagnosed as high functional autistic child on 1998 Dr. Doaa'
carrier specialty and life got changed forever.
-
Dr. Doaa attended and completed a full course at Caritas International in Egypt
on "How to Deal with and Teach Autism Kids" on 1999.
-
Since that date Dr. Doaa did her best to get herself educated on teaching
autistic children with special interest in mainstreaming them. She
became nvolved
in many workshops, reads extensive articles and books, and reached out to many families to
support them and helped with mainstreaming their children, this was in addition
to mainstreaming her son who is always a priority for her.

She acquired a quite good experience and creative skills in accommodating and
modifying teaching materials and elementary school curricula to suit each and
every autistic child individually using their interests and strength points.

She
always considered a coast-effective approach using home based materials to
ensure that the families would be able to cope with.

Dr. Doaa had worked as the elementary resource room coordinator in MLS
mainstream School for one and a half years starting from Jan 2004 till June
2005.

Dr. Doaa had been picked by Special Olympics international to participate in the
Global Youth Summit on Oct.2007 as a chaperone for team Egypt on volunteer bases
(from 2-11 Oct).

Dr. Doaa was invited and attended the Family forum day during the Special
Olympics World summer Games in Shanghai on Oct 2007 as an appreciation for her
effort and success to mainstream her autistic son when there is very limited
mainstream experience in Egypt (Kareem is 12yrs old in grade 5 mainstream
school).

Dr. Doaa has worked closely with Occupational Therapists trained in Sensory
Integration and utilizes many sensory based equipment and activities to enhance

Before this history, Dr. Doaa had worked for 10 years as a Gynecologist and
Obstetrician where she got her post graduate diploma from Ein - Shams
University. Also she passed part one MRCOG (Membership of Royal College of
Obstetrics & Gynecology) fulfilled the requirements and experience and was about to finish the
second part of the MRCOG when her son got diagnosed with autism, having her son
as a priority, she gave up the whole thing and this entire successful carrier.
