Berard AIT is a 10 hour auditory intervention. There are 20 supervised listening sessions of 30 minutes each, completed over 10 or 12 consecutive days. AIT has many scientific studies. The minimum age recommended is 3 years.

AIT Practitioners are  trained professionals. AIT Session prices in the USA range from about $1,200 to 2,000. Prices will vary internationally by county.

Berard AIT Practitioner: Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Fee: $2,000 for AIT Sessions: 20 half hour sessions (10 hours) over 10 or 12 consecutive days, includes assessments.  Additional assessments are $120 per hour.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS

PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

  • Masters of Science degree, with honors from the University of Wisconsin in the field of Communicative Disorders/Speech and Language Pathology. 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Began her private practice in the Madison/Middleton area in the 1980’s. 

  • Continues her private practice, serving students of all ages, providing cutting edge treatments, therapies, and intensive classes for parents.

  • Worked with learning disabled/language disordered students in elementary, middle school, high school and at the university level. 

  • In 1991 was appointed by then governor Tommy Thompson to serve the state of Wisconsin on the Council for Speech Pathology, a position she held for over ten years. 

  • Served on two additional state boards: Wisconsin Dyslexia State Board for 8 years, and the State Autism Board.

  • Awarded a Distinguished Service Award by the Wisconsin Speech Language Hearing Association (WSHA), for her service to the children and families of Wisconsin.  WSHA is the state chapter of the American Speech Language Hearing Association.

  • Collaborated with one of her professors and designed an assessment tool to be used with adolescents.  It was used in all 50 states and Canada. 

  • Worked in the public schools initially, and then went on to become a diagnostician with the Learning and Behavior Clinic at UW Hospitals and Clinics.

  • Instructor  University of Wisconsin-Madison, Department of Communicative Disorders. 

  • Taught seniors and graduate students.

  • Taught continuing education courses for UW-Oshkosh and the UW-Extension.
